The bassist sent a statement through his representative.
After being banned from appearing on Fox News and Fox Business television programs forever , the bassist and founder of Kiss issued an official statement through his publicist:
“In recent years, I have frequently appeared on various Fox News and Fox Business programs and have enormous respect for all the talented women and men who work there. While I believe what has been reported is extremely exaggerated and misleading, I want to say that I sincerely apologize if I unintentionally offended any members of the Fox staff during my visit.”.
Below is one of Simmons' appearances on Fox programs commenting on the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse allegations where he says: “I am a powerful and attractive man. And what I'm about to say is very serious: Men are jerks .
Simmons continues: “Men have to be trained from a very young age by their mothers and those who love them to understand that half the world's population is female and that women should be treated with respect .
Gene Simmons concluded:
“Harvey [Weinstein] and [Bill] Cosby, and all those who supposedly may have done something wrong, should go to hell to be someone’s ‘girlfriend’” .
