This Wednesday, the 27th, Ace Frehley turns 71 and the musician received not only congratulations from his former bandmate, Gene Simmons , but also an invitation to take the stage with KISS again.
The band is currently on their farewell tour, End Of The Road , and Simmons seems to think this would be a good opportunity to reunite with the former member for old times' sake.
On his Twitter account , the bassist wished Frehley a happy birthday and wrote: “The invitation still stands. Join us on stage for some encores. The fans will love it.”
Ace Frehley has previously stated that he wouldn't rule out a KISS reunion, but specified that he would only do so if offered the right amount of money "in the right way." Financial issues had already created a rift between the bandmates during the filming of the documentary KISStory , which Frehley and Peter Criss refused to participate in due to lack of payment.
Despite Gene Simmons' invitation, Paul Stanley expressed skepticism a few months ago about a possible reunion of the four original members, comparing the situation to a divorce.
