For Gene Simmons of Kiss , rock is dead. But that statement doesn't seem to extend to other musical styles, and the bassist admires some voices in pop, such as the rising star Billie Eilish and singer-songwriter Finneas , the singer's older brother.
The documentary The World's a Little Blurry , released in February, chronicles the young singer's rise to fame in recent years. Simmons praised the result and recommended the documentary to her followers on social media, making sure to mention the singer and Finneas.
"I have to say I was enchanted by the Billie Eilish documentary. [She is] a unique and original artist," he posted on Twitter. "Her brother, Finneas, is a great talent, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Watch it, you'll love Billie Eilish." For those interested, the title is on the Apple TV+ , already available in Brazil.
This wasn't the bassist's first compliment to the siblings. In early 2021, Simmons called the young woman "fantastic" and Lady Gaga 's work .
Several rock stars have expressed admiration for Billie Eilish. In a recent interview, Amy Lee also praised the singer's "authenticity."
