The band became famous for lawsuits alleging plagiarism and copyright infringement

Many people find numerous similarities between Bruce Springsteen and Kiss ." And the band is one of them.

During an interview with The Guardian, Gene Simmons revealed that the choruses of the tracks are very similar, which could result in a lawsuit for Springsteen, given that his track was released 30 years after the Kiss hit, but they chose to let the matter drop.

“Kiss has sued a lot of people,” he says in the interview, “But there are some people we don’t sue. You know how we choose who to sue and who not to sue? We like Springsteen. We don’t sue Springsteen.”

Paul Stanley , bandmate and co-founder of Kiss, had also previously commented on the similarities between the tracks, "I don't believe he [Springsteen] was sitting at home listening to our music. You can't argue with people about their creativity," he said during a 2016 interview.

"Outlaw Pete" is the opening track of the album Working On A Dream (2009), and in 2014 it was turned into a book by Springsteen and illustrator Frank Caruso.
