Bassist says he's tired
Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler spoke in an interview about the band's current tour. According to Butler, this will likely be the group's last tour.
Despite comments from Ozzy and Iommi that the band might record another album, the bassist said he was tired: “It’s getting really hard. I can’t lie about it. I’m old now, and it’s hard to go on stage every night. You wake up the next day with aches and pains you’ve never felt before.”
Geezer, however, says he's proud of Black Sabbath's work: "I feel we're at our peak, the band is playing really well right now ." He ends the interview saying he won't continue playing if it doesn't give him pleasure: "I never want to play for the money, you have to be proud of what you do, and I think I'm reaching the end of my prime .
Black Sabbath recently announced a show in Belo Horizonte on October 15th. The band will also play in Porto Alegre on the 9th, São Paulo on the 11th, and Rio de Janeiro on the 13th. Tickets for the São Paulo show are already sold out.
