In a new interview with Classic Rock Revisited, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler spoke once again about Bill Ward's absence from the band's final tour. Check out his statement:

“The issue is beyond money. It really has nothing to do with that. It’s about his ability to tour or not. On the '13' tour, he wasn’t there. About a week into the tour, he had to go to the hospital for major surgery. We would have had to cancel the tour if he had been with us. He hasn’t been well for a while. He’s had a few heart attacks. You have to face the facts when you get to our age, if you’re not in great health you can’t go on the road for two years or more. It’s a hard life to lead. The easy part is getting on stage and playing. It’s all the traveling and things that come with it that are difficult. I think Ozzy, in particular, thought Bill wouldn’t make it. He certainly wouldn’t have been able to get through the first part, as he was in the hospital. We can’t keep canceling tours just because our drummer couldn’t play.”
