Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler spoke to Classic Rock magazine about the psychological problems he faced in the early days of Black Sabbath. The musician said he battled with depression.
“I used to cut myself. I’d cut my arms, stick pins in my fingers, that kind of thing. I was very depressed and that was the only thing that helped me get out of it” (…) “If the Sabbath hadn’t worked out, I would have been dead a long time ago. I would have killed myself.”.
