The tribute is similar to Hollywood's Walk of Fame
Geezer Butler, bassist and co-founder of Black Sabbath, was honored in Birmingham, England, by receiving a star on the Walk of Stars.
The honor came on the day Butler and his band celebrated 50 years since their first performance in his hometown.
To celebrate his friend and bandmate, Tony Iommi also attended the event where he took a photo with the bassist and Mayor Anne Underwood, who bestowed the honor.
The Walk of Stars on Broad Street in Birmingham is a street with the same concept as Hollywood's famous Walk of Fame, bearing the names of artists who have made a significant contribution to some important field, from music, film, and literature to sports and business.
Butler is the third member of Black Sabbath to receive the honor. His bandmates Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi earned their stars on the Walk of Stars in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
