Ozzy Osbourne , heavy metal icon and vocalist for Black Sabbath , died on Tuesday, July 22, at the age of 76. The cause of death has not yet been officially released, although Osbourne had faced several health problems in recent years.
On social media, Ozzy's former Black Sabbath bandmates, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi , paid their final respects to the eternal Prince of Darkness.
“I just can’t believe it! My dear, dear friend Ozzy passed away just weeks after our show at Villa Park,” wrote Tony Iommi. “It’s such devastating news I can barely find the words — there will never be another like him. Geezer, Bill and I have lost our brother. My thoughts are with Sharon and the entire Osbourne family. Rest in peace, Oz.”.
“Goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for all these years, we had so much fun. Four lads from Aston. Who would have thought, huh? I’m so glad we got to do this one last time, there in Aston. I love you,” Butler wrote.

Ozzy Osbourne died just 17 days after his last live performance, at Black Sabbath 's farewell show , which took place on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Approximately 40,000 people attended the event, with 5.8 million people watching the show online.
Titled "Back To The Beginning ," the final show by the greatest heavy metal band reunited the four original members. Vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler , guitarist Tony Iommi , and drummer Bill Ward played together for the first and last time in 20 years.
Ozzy Osbourne's last public appearance was at the Birmingham edition of Comic Con Midlands . The event took place a few days after Back to the Beginning , on July 12th and 13th.
Ozzy, along with his wife/manager Sharon , his daughter Kelly , and his son Jack, held autograph and photo sessions on both days of the event.
