Lee gives an interview to Noisey

In an interview with the website Noisey, Rush frontman Geddy Lee was asked about rumors that he almost produced Metallica's "Master of Puppets." According to Lee, conversations about a possible collaboration did take place:

“It’s kind of true. There was a discussion with Lars, back then, about working with them. This was before Master Of Puppets came out, I think. The conversation happened. I was friends with their managers and I met Lars in England. I remember going to see them in Toronto when they played at the Masonic Temple. This was still with the original bassist, before the tragedy. We talked and I really liked the band at the time. But it never ended up happening.”.
