Rush's leader posts message on Facebook
Rush cut their performance short at the Festival D'Été De Québec yesterday due to a lightning storm near the event in Quebec, Canada.
Geddy Lee, the vocalist and bassist of the trio, posted the following message to fans on the band's official Facebook page:
“My bandmates and I are extremely disappointed by this situation and the spontaneous change of plans at last night’s show in Quebec. The lightning storm was approaching and the situation became very dangerous for all the technicians working on sound and lights, as well as posing risks to audience members and musicians. We were having a great time and hoped the show would finish before the storm arrived, but we were unlucky and forced to stop the show for everyone’s safety. Thank you to all our amazing fans for enduring the storm and, again, apologies for what happened. We hope to see you all soon!”
