Rush: "It's possible there could be another lineup for the band," says Geddy Lee.

Geddy Lee says there are no plans for new tours, but that the band members remain friends.

In a lengthy interview with Rolling Stone about the 40th anniversary of the album Hemispheres , bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee said that while there are "no plans for new Rush ," the members maintain constant contact and that some lineup of the band might hit the road someday.

“We are very close and we talk all the time, but not about work,” he stated. “We are friends and we talk about life as friends. I can’t say more than that, unfortunately. I would say there’s no chance of seeing Rush on tour again as Alex, Geddy, and Neil. But, would you see one of us, two of us, or three of us? It’s possible.”

Rush's end was hastened by drummer Neil Peart due to chronic tendinitis and shoulder problems. The musician announced his decision in an interview with Drumhead in 2015.
