At The Gates

At The Gates releases information about new album.

At The Gates' last album was released in 2014

Swedish band At The Gates has released the cover art, tracklist, and release date for their follow-up album to At War With Reality, released in 2014.

The new album is called To Drink From The Night Itself and will be released on May 18th by Century Media.

The album was produced by Russ Russell, who has worked with bands such as Napalm Death, The Haunted, and Dimmu Borgir, and the artwork was done by Costin Chioreanu, who previously worked with the band on At War With Reality.

Lead singer Tomas Lindberg commented:

“Once again it’s a pleasure working with Costin. We had a lot of ideas this time regarding the artwork, but overall, it wasn’t surprisingly related to the concept of the work.
What’s great about Costin is that he understands the band. He knows who we are and where we come from, and he and I also have a strong artistic connection. (…)
The inspiration for the cover was taken from the Pergamon Altarpiece, exhibited at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. Of course, it’s closely linked to the concept on which the whole work is based, but we’ll talk about that another time. But for those interested, I’ll mention a name: Peter Weiss.
I can’t wait to have the CD in my hands now, as this is just one of the many fantastic works of art that Costin created for us on To Drink From The Night Itself.”
