The history of MTV Brazil has a gap in memory and in the records available to the public. What were the 1990s like, and the most "experimental" phase of the iconic channel? VJs Gastão Moreira and Fabio Massari intend to answer this in the series O Lado B da MTVê , which is in the final stretch of crowdfunding.
The duo delved into vast personal archives and found rich material forgotten by the public, who will be able to learn about the most remarkable stories from their time at MTV Brasil, from interviews to travels and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the shows Fúria Metal and Lado B.
The series will feature rare photos, videos, tickets, documents, and all sorts of memorabilia from that period. For example, did you know that Massari interviewed actress Sandra Bullock ? Have you heard about the feud they were involved in with John Lydon (Johnny Rotten)? Do you remember Gastão's interview with Bon Jovi in New York?
In total, there will be four episodes, all released in July. The project will be funded through crowdfunding available on Catarse , which offers rewards for donations between R$50 and R$500. Contributions can be made until this Saturday, July 1st.
