Samuel West waited a year to release the video
Director Joe Wright was filmed encouraging over 450 extras to sing The Beatles' "Hey Jude" during the filming of Darkest Hour .
In the video released by actor Samuel West, Wright invites the extras to join in a chorus, which ends up being surprised and accompanied by actor Gary Oldman.
Darkest Hour tells the story of Winston Churchill (Gary Oldman) and was released on January 11th. The film has already earned Oldman a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Film.
