Recently, Garbage released their new single “No Gods No Masters”, the title track from the band's seventh album, which will be available on digital platforms on June 11th.
“No Gods No Masters” has a strong pop influence and features a music video with religious references and colorful LED lights, an aesthetic that has been used in many videos recently (watch it below). The song is Garbage's second release this year, following their debut single “ The Men Who Rule The World ,” which criticizes capitalism and the excessive power concentrated in the hands of wealthy men.
Regarding the album, which arrives in June, vocalist Shirley Manson commented in a statement: “This is our seventh album, and this number and its multiple meanings affected the DNA of the work's content. The seven virtues, the seven pains of religion, the seven deadly sins. It was our way of trying to find some meaning in this madness that is the world and this boundless chaos we've gotten ourselves into.” “No Gods No Masters” is already available for pre-save here .
