At the end of the month, the bands Garbage and L7 will come to Brazil for a joint tour. In addition, the band The Mönic Wikimetal readers as one of the most anticipated bands for Rock In Rio.
The Mönic, founded in São Paulo in 2018, currently consists of Ale Labelle (guitar and vocals), Dani Buarque (guitar and vocals), Joan Bedin (bass and vocals), and Thiago Coiote (drums and vocals). In 2024, they gained significant attention by participating in major festivals such as Rock in Rio and Knofest. The band, with its raspy vocals and 90s-inspired atmosphere, is a valuable addition to the São Paulo female rock scene.
Garbage and L7's joint tour
Garbage's tour with L7 will take place in Rio de Janeiro (March 21st, at Scadura 154), São Paulo (March 22nd, at Terra SP ), and Curitiba (March 23rd, at Live Curitiba ). L7, who previously toured Brazil at the end of 2023, will once again showcase their pioneering grunge sound that was a hit in the 90s. Currently, the Los Angeles-based band consists of Donita Sparks – guitar and vocals, and Suzi Gardner – guitar and vocals. The band also includes Dee Plakas on drums and Jennifer Finch – bass and vocals.
Furthermore, Garbage returns to Brazil after performing at the first The Town in 2023. The band, led by iconic vocalist Shirley Manson, continues to undeniably innovate in the global alternative rock scene. Since its inception, Garbage has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and achieved colossal success, including “Stupid Girl”, “Push It”, “I Think I'm Paranoid”, “Queer”, and “Milk”.
