the album that will pay tribute to Gang of Four and the band's co-founder, Andy Gill , who passed away last year, including big names joining the tribute project.

After Serj Tankian and Tom Morello 's cover of "Natural's Not In It" officially arrived last week, the release of the album The Problem of Leisure: A Celebration of Andy Gill and Gang of Four is getting closer, on May 21st. The album, which had all its tracks originally recorded by the band, will now gain a new life through big names of today, and Gill's widow, Catherine Mayer , revealed that the project was being worked on by her husband just days before his death.

“I never doubted that I should finish what Andy had started. He took great pleasure in hearing from the artists which track they chose and why,” she shares. “He was delighted with the tracks he lived long enough to hear. Even in what would be his final days, he listened to mixes on a laptop in his hospital bed and asked me to send notes and responses to collaborators on his behalf. He also spoke to me about other musicians he hoped to convince to come on board. After he died, I contacted several of them. They all said yes.”

The project will feature, in addition to Tankian and Morello, Flea and John Frusciante , 3D , that is, Robert Del Naja from Massive Attack, La Roux, IDLES, Helmet, Gary Numan, Dandy Warhols, and Killing Joke .
