Gabriela Abud has officially announced her departure from Nervosa. In early February, the band reported that Gabriela left due to "logistical and visa issues" and that Michaela Naydenova "has returned to her position as the official drummer."

Through a post made on social media last Sunday, the 15th, Gabriela Abud announced that she decided to leave the band "to make room for new paths." Read the full statement:

After two intense and very special years with Nervosa, I've decided to leave the project and make room for new paths. This decision was made with great affection and respect for everything we've experienced together.

I am so grateful for all the experiences, for the world tours, and for every musician, band, and crew we've crossed paths with along the way. Working and playing with so many incredible people has helped me grow so much as a drummer and as a person. I'm grateful to be a part of this story and I'm very proud of everything we've built together.

I wish all the success in the world to these incredibly talented girls, the new album is amazing! I'll continue studying and improving my drumming skills, my instrument and one of the great passions of my life. Just as I continue to nurture my work as an actress, another path that is part of who I am and that I love equally is the drums. I'm available and excited for new projects and collaborations in 2026! Special thanks to all the fans!!! Without you, none of this would have been possible!”

Abud had replaced Bulgarian drummer Naydenova in 2024, who is returning to the band. Nervosa continues promoting their new album, Slave Machine, their sixth studio album, scheduled for release on April 30th by Napalm Records.
