Metal still fills stadiums and moves millions of people around the world, no doubt about it. However, the musical genre seems to be facing a major challenge with the inevitable retirement of the most relevant bands in the style, generating uncertainty about the future.
Even among bands like Iron Maiden , who have no plans to retire, there is a limit to continuing with new albums and tours as one gets older, especially in shows that demand so much energy.
