The story of Freddie Mercury will be available for the first time in comic book format. Created by Z2 Comics in partnership with Universal Music Group , the comic will be called Freddie Mercury: Lover Of Life, Singer Of Songs .

According to Blabbermouth , the story will begin long before Freddie Mercury's meteoric rise to stardom, when the singer was still the young Farrokh Bulsara , spending his childhood in Zanzibar and India. The plot is expected to follow Freddie's subsequent years until he became a globally adored rock star.

The story was written by Tres Dean, author of the graphic novel All Time Low Presents: Young Renegades , and is based on the book Freddie Mercury: A Life In His Own Words. The first issues will be released in November.
