In a recent interview, Frank Bello of Anthrax spoke about the current status of Altitudes & Attitude , his project in partnership with David Ellefson , former bassist of Megadeth . While Bello stated that he has no plans for anything new from the group "in the near future," he made a point of mentioning that he remains friends with Ellefson and that the two still keep in touch.
“David is my friend, just so you know. I love David,” he stated. “I spoke to him two days ago; we talked via text message. He has a new band called Lucid that I want to support. It’s a good album. I hope he gets good results with it. I’m supporting him… He’s a good guy, very intelligent, and he’s my friend and I love him.”
David Ellefson was fired from Megadeth in May of this year after a leak of intimate videos exchanged with a young woman who, according to reports, was underage when the conversations between the two began. Ellefson admitted that the extramarital virtual encounters took place , but denies that the young woman in question was underage, stating that the sexual practices " were consensual between two adults ."
About two months after the incident, Dave Mustaine ruled out any possibility of David Ellefson returning to Megadeth and announced that former member James LoMenzo would be filling in for the bassist during the band's tour.
