Reinforcing a comment previously made by Charlie Benante , Frank Bello recently stated Anthrax album should be released in 2022, but that everything will depend on how the pandemic unfolds.

“We don’t know what will be finalized because everything is kind of crazy at the moment with this new variant, so we need to do it the right way,” said Bello. “So, from what I’m hearing from promoters about tours and everything else… We’re doing periodic shows; I think we’ll do some festivals this year. But as for tours, how far will that go… You want to release an album when you can tour to promote it, so that’s the plan for next year.”

Frank Bello went on to say that he hopes everyone is healthy and that the shows are possible because the plan is to have a tour to accompany the new album. "You can't just release [the album] and not have anything planned to promote it, because how are people going to know you've released a new album? There's no radio promotion or anything like that."
