Frank Bello , of Anthrax , is currently promoting his memoir, Fathers, Brothers, and Sons: Surviving Anguish, Abandonment, and Anthrax . In a recent interview, the musician also spoke about his plans to release a solo album.
Bello described the project as a "continuation" of what was shown on Altitudes & Attitude , his collaboration with former Megadeth David Ellefson , and said he is still writing new songs.
“While I was working on the book, I wrote some songs. Actually, I recorded some songs and didn't know what I was going to do with them – whether I was going to release them along with the book or later. Going through that cathartic moment with this book opened many doors in my mind,” says Frank Bello.
“I started writing them along with the book, and that helped a lot. I recorded these songs in the studio and everything. There are great musicians on this project. So, yes, eventually I will release solo work. If people like what I did on Altitudes & Attitude with David Ellefson, it’s probably like a continuation of that; it could be on one of those albums,” he concludes.
Despite saying he was "anxious" to release the new music, Frank Bello also said he didn't know when that would happen. It's expected that the release will happen via Megaforce , who released Altitudes & Attitude's debut album, Get It Out (2019).
