The band Fozzy announced the departure of drummer Frank Fontsere in a post on social media.

Led by Chris Jericho , the group said Fontsere left to focus on his family and other projects. "We wish him all the best and want to thank him for all these years of rock!" The publication also revealed that Grant Brooks , from Through Fire, will replace him.

“However, we are very excited to announce that after an extensive audition process, our friend Grant Brooks is the new drummer!” The band also said they are excited to work with him in what will be “the biggest year in the band’s history.”.

On his personal page, Brooks announced his departure from Through Fire after four years and said he was "very excited about the new project." The drummer also confirmed his first performance with Fozzy. The group will be playing in Miami and Nassau, Bahamas, between March 14th and 18th.

Fontsere is one of the founding members of Fozzy, having formed the group with Jericho and Rich Ward in 1999.

In addition to this new release, the group is preparing to launch the album Boombox on April 15th.

Currently, Fozzy consists of Chris Jericho on vocals, Rich Ward on guitar and vocals, Billy Grey on guitar, PJ Farley on bass, and Grant Brooks on drums.
