Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor passed away yesterday
Former Motörhead drummer Phil Taylor passed away yesterday, the 11th. The news came via the official Facebook page of his former bandmate, guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke:
“My dear friend and brother passed away last night. He had been ill for some time, but that doesn't make things any easier when the time comes.
I met Phil when he was 21 and he was quite a character. Luckily, we made fantastic music together and I have great memories of our time together. Rest in peace, Phil!.
Phil Taylor played in Motörhead from 1975 to 1984 and then from 1987 to 1992.
