Michael Graves , vocalist for the Misfits between 1995 and 2000, may be a defense witness in the trial concerning the invasion of the US Capitol against the neo-fascist group Proud Boys , accused of conspiracy to carry out the attack .

According to Reuters , Graves was in Washington that day and claims he had no involvement in the break-in. The accused allegedly invited the singer to participate in a private concert in support of former President Donald Trump , but the event did not take place.

According to the singer, who joined the group last year, the Proud Boys wouldn't be capable of organizing something of this magnitude. "Those guys have trouble ordering at McDonald's," he stated in an interview.

The Proud Boys, founded in 2016, is a far-right, all-male, anti-immigrant neo-fascist organization with members linked to white supremacy. According to the BBC , official bodies classify the organization as an "extremist group" and a "hate group."

On January 6th, Trump supporters stormed the Capitol with weapons and flags in defense of white supremacy during the final vote count of the US election. The action caused outrage around the world, and several musicians spoke out against this attack that left five dead.
