In recent months, Cradle of Filth has been facing the most turbulent period in its history. Members leaving in the middle of a tour and serious accusations against Dani Filth culminated in a lawsuit against the vocalist and his band.

On September 30th of this year, six former members joined together to file this lawsuit. Those responsible are: keyboardist Zoe Marie Federoff and her husband, guitarist Marek “Ashok” Smerda , vocalist Lindsay Schoolcraft (Matheson) , guitarists Paul Allender and Richard Shaw , and Sasha Baxter – who appeared in the group's music videos. The lawsuit names the band's business entities, Daniel Lloyd Davey (Filth's real name) and Oracle Management as defendants [ via Metal Injection ].

Understand the lawsuit filed by the former members of Cradle of Filth.

Former members of Cradle of Filth allege in the lawsuit that merchandise, recordings, and promotional materials continue to use their images without authorization or payment of royalties.

There are also specific claims, such as those of Schoolcraft and Baxter, who allege that they were commercially exploited and not paid for it. They also accuse the existence of products using their images. Regarding the Federoff couple, a defamation lawsuit was filed. Filth made derogatory comments about Zoe, stating that the keyboardist had consumed alcohol during her pregnancy – resulting in a miscarriage.

Those involved are requesting the removal of products bearing their identities, holding Cradle of Filth responsible for any lost or damaged equipment, and compensation for both financial damages and alleged emotional distress. The parties are also requesting payment of legal expenses and that the case be referred to a jury. To date, the defendants have not responded to the allegations.
