In an interview with Eonmusic, former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley revealed details about the mental health issues he suffers from:

“I think I can consider myself ‘crazy.’ I suffer from depression and mental health issues, and when I was finally able to put a label on it, to understand that it’s an ‘illness,’ a ‘condition,’ only then could I do something about it.”.

“I no longer feel trapped by this feeling of loneliness and anger and this kind of emotion. There is a reason for me to feel this way, and if there is a reason, there must also be a solution, or at least a way to live with it.”.

Blaze adds, speaking about his time in Iron Maiden:
“I never kept my mental health problems a secret. I just didn’t know I had these problems until I left Iron Maiden, and I think if I had known, I would have dealt much better with all the pressure of being in one of the biggest bands in the world .
