Nicholls suffered from cancer
Keyboardist Geoff Nicholls, known for his work with Black Sabbath, passed away on Saturday, the 28th, after a long battle with cancer.
Nicholls played on Black Sabbath albums between 1980 and 1995, and toured with the band until 2004. All three members of Black Sabbath commented on their colleague's death on Twitter:
Tony Iommi: “I am so sad to hear of the death of one of my closest and dearest friends, Geoff Nicholls. He had been battling lung cancer for some time and he lost his battle this morning. Geoff and I have always been very close and he has been a true friend who has supported me in every way for the last 40 years. I will miss him dearly and he will live on in my heart until we meet again. Rest in peace, my dear friend.”
