Vinny Appice joined Black Sabbath in the 1980s
The former Black Sabbath drummer, who also played in Dio and Heaven and Hell, recorded four songs for the new EP by the Minas Gerais band Concreto, called Lama.
Vinny met the band Concreto when he came to Brazil in 2015 for a series of workshops, performing with guest musicians in each city. The partnership with the Minas Gerais-based band Concreto was so successful that Vinny later agreed to participate in the band's work, recording the drums in his own studio in Los Angeles.
Vinny joined Black Sabbath in 1980 and released the albums Mob Rules, Live Evil, Dehumanizer, Black Sabbath: The Dio Years , and Live at Hammersmith Odeon .
The first single, “Marco da Lama,” is now available and can be listened to below.
