The São Paulo-based rock band Forgotten Boys has released the single "Sway," which anticipates the band's seventh album and first album of new material in 15 years.
The new album, titled Click Clack, will be released on September 25th and will feature 10 unreleased tracks that explore different moments and influences.
“'Sway' was chosen as the first single, perhaps because it's a song that showcases the various paths the band takes. In some way, it represents the variety of things to come on the new album,” the band said in a statement released to the press.
“The instrumental, like all the other songs on the album, is the result of two or three live takes,” the group states. The recordings took place at Artsy Club and Jalapeño Verde studios in São Paulo, and the album was mastered by Carl Saff in Chicago. “The song itself has existed for a few years, and it went through many changes during rehearsals until it got to this point.”
Click Clack will be released on LP exclusively by Läjä Records, on CD by Läjä + ForMusic, and digitally exclusively by ForMusic . The band will perform live shows with Braba Música as a booking partner.
“Sway” is already available on all platforms. The song also comes with a music video, recorded at Artsy Club studio – watch the video at the end of this article.
Since its formation in 1997, the group has become a benchmark of Brazilian rock, with six albums released in its career, the last material of original material being the album Taste It , from 2011.
The new project also marks the first time in the studio with the current lineup, consisting of Gustavo Riviera, Zé Mazzei, Dionisio Dazul , and Chuck Hipolitho.
