"For All Kings" may have been Anthrax's last album.

Scott Ian responds

Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante stated in an interview with EonMusic that Anthrax's latest album, "For All Kings," may have been the band's last.

"I don't know if there will be another album, that's all I can say. This might be our last. I prefer to go out on top."

Anthrax albums from worst to best

He adds: “I didn’t say we were breaking up. I just said this might be our last album. That’s how I feel. You know, like some sports teams, they have an amazing team one year and the next year the players aren’t there anymore – it’s gone bad. I’m not saying any of us won’t be here anymore, but I think the inspiration might not be there anymore. Let’s enjoy it now.”

Later, Anthrax frontman Scott Ian tweeted: “Don’t let clickbait articles fool you. There will be more Anthrax albums. Cheers, friends.”
