The Glastonbury 2023 audience was expecting a band called The Churnups Foo Fighters showed up instead .
The band led by Dave Grohl managed to surprise the audience by being announced in the festival's lineup under a false name. The so-called Churnups were announced for 6:15 PM, but it was Foo Fighters who took to the stage this Friday, the 23rd.
The performance was to celebrate 25 years since the band's debut at Glastonbury. In 1998, the Foo Fighters performed at the festival for the first time, at the same time they performed now, two acts before the headliners.
The group only had an hour to perform and chose to play their biggest hits, such as “All My Life”, “Best of You”, and “My Hero”, closing with “Everlong”, dedicated to Taylor Hawkins . Check out some videos:
