Last Sunday, the Foo Fighters offered a more detailed insight the film Studio 666 , which hits theaters this Friday, the 25th. The band released the explicit version of the film's trailer on their YouTube channel.
The new images show many scenes of violence, slasher elements, and sexual innuendo. The film itself is rated 18+ for "strong bloody violence and gore, inappropriate language, and sexual content.".
Studio 666 is a horror-comedy that follows the Foo Fighters' adventure as they move into a haunted mansion to record their 10th studio album. Soon after, Dave Grohl is possessed by a violent spirit and begins hunting his bandmates. The story is based on the Foo Fighters' real-life experience with paranormal activity while recording Medicine At Midnight (2020).
After releasing the thrash metal track “March of the Insane” , Dave Grohl revealed that the band recorded a full metal album to complement the film's storyline.
