Foo Fighters have announced the release date for the thrash metal album by the fictional band Dream Widow , part of the horror comedy Studio 666 , the band's first film.
Originally planned for release close to the film's US premiere on February 25th, the album suffered delays due to the tight schedule. The band even released "March of the Insane" before the film hit international theaters, but the complete work will be released to the public this Friday, March 25th.
“My love for this type of music is well documented, but I don’t practice with Foo Fighters, so it was my idea to make this Dream Widow album and, of course, being a horror movie, I wanted to use thrash metal. But you’ll hear it, so I don’t want to say [too much],” said Dave Grohl about the album (via Kerrang! ).
With no release date yet set for Brazilian theaters, Studio 666 follows the Foo Fighters as they attempt to record their 10th studio album in a haunted mansion, with a macabre connection to Dream Widow, who never released their debut album – at least not yet.
