EP can be downloaded for free
The Foo Fighters released their new EP, “Saint Cecilia,” this past weekend, featuring 5 new tracks recorded in Austin, Texas. The new work can be downloaded for free through this website .
The band's leader, Dave Grohl, published a letter alongside the EP's release, commenting on the work and the attacks in Paris:
“The EP “Saint Cecilia” was started in October as a celebration of life and music. The concept was that, with the end of our world tour, we wanted to share our love for life and music and give back everything you have given us.”.
Now, we have renewed hope that even with a small gesture, perhaps these songs can bring a little light to this world that is sometimes so dark. To remind us that music is life and that hope and healing are very close to music. And that this can never be stolen from us.
To all those affected by the atrocities in Paris, dear friends, our hearts are with you and your families. We will be back soon to celebrate with you again with our music. As it should be.”
