Foo Fighters released their new single “Asking For A Friend” this Thursday, the 23rd, and announced details of their 2026 North American stadium tour, with Queens Of The Stone Age .

The group put an end to the mystery of a post on their social media, announcing the new single. The song comes after the surprise release of the live EP Are Playing Where??? Vol. 1 .

In a press release, the band said: “Since our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are eternally dedicated to doing this Foo Fighters thing.”

The band led by Dave Grohl will kick off their tour on August 4th at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, with the final show scheduled for September 26th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It's worth noting that the Foo Fighters are reportedly negotiating a free show in Brasília for early 2026.

The band played their first show with new drummer Ilan Rubin on September 13th at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California. The former Nine Inch Nails replaced Josh Freese , who was fired from the band in May . To date, the band has not officially commented on the reason for the dismissal .
