Foo Fighters made a post on their social media last Thursday, the 16th, and fans began to speculate that it was an announcement of shows in Brazil.

In the post, the band wrote "About to take off...", with an image that appears to be the stage, featuring the band's logo and a yellow, green, and blue parrot – the colors of the Brazilian flag. However, some websites speculate that it's a teaser for a new single, since the post also includes a snippet of a song with electrifying riffs – never heard before.

Last week, journalist Isadora Teixeira , from Metrópoles , reported that the Foo Fighters were negotiating a free concert in Brasília for the beginning of 2026. According to the portal , the show would have private sponsorship and government incentives.

At the beginning of October, the band surprised fans with the release of the live EP Are Playing Where??? Vol. 1. The album, recorded at various club shows across the United States in September, is available exclusively on Bandcamp .

Previously, the Foo Fighters gave their first performance with their new drummer, Ilan Rubin . The former Nine Inch Nails member replaced Josh Freese , who was fired from the band in May . To date, the Foo Fighters have not officially stated the reason for the dismissal .
