The Foo Fighters kicked off their UK tour and at their first show, which took place in Manchester on the evening of Thursday the 13th, they performed a brand new song.

Titled “Unconditional,” the song was “partially written and [had a] demo during home studio sessions last year, but ended up being left unfinished,” a band representative told Consequence .

He explained: “The rediscovery of 'Unconditional' by the band happened spontaneously for the Foo Fighters: the song came up in a conversation during rehearsals for the UK tour, and one rehearsal was all it took. The decision to share it with everyone in the same way – live – was made instantly.”

The Foo Fighters will spend the next month playing stadium and festival shows in the UK and Europe, before returning to the US for a series of tour dates later in the summer, including shows with The Hives , Amyl and the Sniffers, Alex G and L7 .
