The Foo Fighters had the honor of being chosen to perform the first full-capacity show at Madison Square Garden since the start of the pandemic. To celebrate the success and the relief of returning to the stage, the band teamed up with MSG Entertainment to release a mini-documentary of the historic moment.
Titled "The Day The Music Came Back ," the 9-minute video features live footage of the Foo Fighters' performance mixed with testimonials from the crew who worked backstage preparing for the show. Fifteen thousand fans came together to witness this historic moment.
The official description of the documentary is as follows: “On June 20, 2021, after 466 days without live music, the Foo Fighters reopened Madison Square Garden to a sold-out crowd, playing the first full-capacity show at the New York arena since the start of the pandemic.” Check out the full documentary at the end of this post.
The Foo Fighters are making up for lost time in 2020 and celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2021, after plans were delayed due to the pandemic.
