The band played "Let There Be Rock"

Foo Fighters, led by Dave Grohl, paid a beautiful tribute to Malcolm Young of AC/DC at their show in Mexico City. In addition to playing the classic "Let There Be Rock," the band kept Malcolm's image frozen on the screen, as can be seen in the video below.

Dave Grohl also posted the following message:

“37 years ago, my friend Larry Hinkle and I went to see a movie at a midnight showing on a Friday in Washington, D.C. The year was 1980. We were 11 years old. The movie was “Let There Be Rock,” and it changed my life.”.

That film, which showed a live AC/DC concert in Paris in 1979, is everything live rock and roll should be – sweaty, loose, loud. A tireless performance from the perfect band. It was the first time I lost control over music. The first time I wanted to be part of a band. I didn't want to play my guitar anymore. I wanted to destroy it.

Thank you, Malcolm, for the music, and the feeling, and for the years you made me lose control to your Rock and Roll. I'll do exactly that tonight, for you. Malcolm Young RIP – Dave
