Foo Fighters are negotiating a free concert in Brasília for 2026. This information comes from journalist Isadora Teixeira of Metrópoles . The idea is for the performance to take place at the beginning of the year.

According to the portal , the show would have private sponsorship and government incentives. This format, in turn, follows the same model as the Madonna and Lady Gaga at Todo Mundo no Rio, which takes place on Copacabana Beach, for example.

Contacted by the website, the governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), said that they are "still deciding" whether the Foo Fighters will hold the free concert in Brasília. Rocha, who has held meetings with representatives of the band, stated that he is "working hard" to make it happen. According to the website, the announcement of the city that will host the concert should happen "in the coming days".

Foo Fighters played their first show with their new drummer on September 13th.

Ilan Rubin , formerly of Nine Inch Nails, replaced Josh Freese , who was fired from the band in May . To date, the band has not officially stated the reason for the dismissal .

The performance, announced the day before, featured a 25-song setlist packed with classics and some surprises, such as "Have It All" (played for the first time in a decade), "Alone" and "Easy Target" (for the first time since 2018), and "Exhausted" (for the first time since 2014), according to Kerrang!

On social media, the Foo Fighters welcomed Ilan, who wrote on his Instagram: “Last night couldn’t have been better. After keeping my head down for a few intense months and dedicating myself to the material, that first show was an incredible release of energy. I was overwhelmed by all the positivity and support, and just wanted to say thank you! I’m excited for all the volume and sweat that awaits us.”
