Foo Fighters have cancelled their participation in another event . This time it was Hellfest, a festival the band was scheduled to participate in in 2025. The group was replaced by Muse .
The information was released by Ben Barbaud , founder of the festival, who told the newspaper Le Parisien that the group has apparently cancelled all activities for the foreseeable future.
“Foo Fighters were handed to me on a silver platter. A month ago, they offered me the chance to program them alongside a handful of other European festivals. But they cancelled their summer tour and Muse was brought in as a backup. I accepted because I was without a headliner on Friday and because the Hellfest audience is becoming more and more open. With age, I've also matured; I'm less sectarian,” says Barbaud.
Dave Grohl , the band's frontman, has been dedicating himself to his family after an infidelity affair that resulted in a pregnancy .
The Foo Fighters have not officially commented on their future plans, but their official website does not indicate any activity in 2025.
