Rock categories were not included in the main Grammy ceremony nor were they televised
Foo Fighters and Mastodon were the top winners in the Rock and Metal categories.
The Foo Fighters won the Grammy for "Best Rock Song" with the single "Run".
The award for "Best Metal Performance" went to Mastodon for "Sultan's Curse".
As announced yesterday, Avenged Sevenfold did not attend the awards ceremony because the "Best Rock Song" category was not included in the main ceremony nor was it televised.
The Grammy Awards ceremony took place today, January 28th, and the other nominees for each of the 4 rock categories were:
