The Foo Fighters recently performed their first show with a live audience since the start of the pandemic. The occasion was made even more special by the participation of Brian Johnson for a performance of AC/DC's "Back in Black".
The performance took place at Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World , a pro-vaccination event promoted by Global Citizen , the recording of which was broadcast last Saturday, the 8th.
Since Johnson was forced to temporarily step away from music in 2016 due to hearing problems, he has made few appearances. However, in this performance Johnson surprised us and left us wishing for an AC/DC show here. Watch the performance below.
In addition to the AC/DC classic, Dave Grohl and company also played their hits “All My Life”, “Everlong”, “Times Like These”, “My Hero” and “Best of You”. During the show, the vocalist thanked the audience for their presence, which was mostly made up of healthcare professionals who have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.
The event also featured Eddie Vedder, J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez , and HER , and managed to raise over US$300 million during its broadcast, which will be used to purchase 26 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
