The guitarist spoke about the similarities between "All My Life" and "Desire"

In a recent interview on The Jasta Show , Zakk Wylde, guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, was asked about the similarities between "All My Life," a 2002 song by the Foo Fighters, and "Desire," a 1991 song by Ozzy Osbourne. The musician composed the riff for the track.

“There’s nothing wrong with that. I mean, they listened to it and liked the riff. And Dave [Grohl]’s music is completely different as the melody continues,” he said, defending the Foo Fighters frontman.

The interviewer pressed the issue, asking if Wylde believed Grohl's band had reached the point where everything was inspired by something else. "I think everyone is inspired by everything. Whether you're the [Rolling] Stones or the Beatles… without a doubt you're inspired by something."

In January, Wylde and his other band, Black Label Society, released their ninth studio album, Grimmest Hits . In May, the guitarist will come to Brazil accompanying Ozzy Osbourne, who will perform four shows of the Farewell World Tour in the country.

With their tour promoting their latest album, Concrete and Gold , the Foo Fighters also performed in Brazil last February. You can read Wikimetal of one of the band's shows in São Paulo here .
