The band Fontaines DC , Lollapalooza Brazil audience , has canceled its performance at the festival and all scheduled shows in Latin America – including an extra performance in São Paulo.

The group, which was in Mexico City, canceled the show scheduled for Tuesday night, the 18th, as well as shows scheduled in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia over the next few weeks. The reason for the cancellation is due to a herniated disc suffered by vocalist Grian Chatten , who announced and lamented the cancellations in a post on social media.

“I’ve been so excited to play in these beautiful countries for years and it’s very painful to be here in Mexico City and not be able to get on stage, but I was advised today that I need urgent medical attention,” Chatten wrote.

This would be the band's first time in Brazil and other Latin American countries. Here, they would perform on Friday, March 26th, at Lollapalooza, and at Audio in a separate show on the 28th.
