In an interview with Scars and Guitars , guitarist Eric Peterson stated Floor Jansen 's guest appearance on Testament 's next album will no longer happen.

In the conversation [via Metal Sucks ], Peterson explained that the Nightwish ended up being disappointed when she learned of the leak of her collaboration on the album.

“It was something that was being discussed and came to light before it was finalized. She was a little upset, from what I've been told. I don't know. To me, it's all just rumor. But I think it was too much. And she said, 'I didn't even… I mean, I was talking about doing that.'”

According to Eric, the song in question, called "Meant to Be," would be a "perfect track" for Jansen, and after a conversation with vocalist Chuck Billy , they both decided not to look for another singer.

“We thought about finding someone else, but I decided it wasn’t worth it if it wasn’t her. Chuck sounds great on his own. He doesn’t need another singer, but it would also be cool with Floor.”

He also said that he likes her , and that he got goosebumps watching Nightwish's performance at Wacken Open Air in 2013.

“I follow those guys! I really like the band! When I saw the show, she absolutely killed it with the songs. I immediately got goosebumps watching her sing with them.”

Even with Floor Jansen's cancellation on the Testament , the band still intends to release the material this year. It's also worth remembering that the group returns to Brazil for a series of performances.

There will be six shows, in the cities of Limeira, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. Information about dates and tickets can be found here .
