Floor Jansen , vocalist of Nightwish , released her new solo single "My Paragon" last Tuesday, the 21st.
The track is part of Jansen's first solo album, Paragon , which will be released on March 24th. According to Blabbermouth , the album showcases "the singer's impressive vocal range and powerful voice in a diverse collection of pop-infused tracks and emotive ballads influenced by the sounds of her career."
Regarding the new single, Floor Jansen commented: “I’m excited to share ‘My Paragon,’ the first track from my solo album. This song marks the end of a long journey that began with my first ideas on the piano in March 2020. ‘My Paragon’ is a reflection of my growth as an artist since I wrote a song called ‘Paragon’ in 2008 for my Northward .”
“The lyrics remind us to pause, appreciate our achievements, and be proud of who we’ve become. The album title represents the courage needed to finally embark on my solo journey. This powerful anthem encourages you to embrace your dreams and see yourself as your own ideal role model,” she concludes.
